It is morning. The city is described as looking ugly in the morning. We hear about CHA-CHA'S, the cafeteria in the building where Hogwild (and Hugo now?) work, and the owner PAULO BARRETTO and how Cha-Cha was the woman he loved back in Chile even though she was trouble for sleeping with prisoners and having some kind of surgical attachment installed on her private parts. Hogwild is in the restaurant eating breakfast when he sees Hugo come in, all beat up and bandaged.
