Chapter 138
OK I'm getting a bit excited, it seems like some neat things are going to start to happen soon.
Hugo and Hogwild find the entrance to Old La Garra/Fort Black. Hugo has brought a bag filled with some supplies. They head down the stairway and through a tunnel. It's very scary and creepy and then the lights go out and they hear screaming.
OK I know that doesn't sound like much happened, but I liked how the author described it. You got creeped out like you would in real life, or like if you were watching it in a movie. I guess that just shows that he's doing a good job of being a writer, when chapters are kind of long but then afterwards you can't think of much that happened.

Also last time astute reader Madame Deitrich chimed in with complaints about the author's use of the phrase "this shrieking," and furthermore complained of its use so close to the word "pretty."
I mildly agree on the second point but not the first. But who am I to tell a person how to write a book I've never done it! Have you, Dietrich? Nanowrimo does not count, everyone knows that is not real writing. At all.
Anyways please keep those comments rolling in, let's get that chatter going.

If I had someone providing feedback on the word-level, and the worst they could find is one too many adjectives, I do believe I would fall on my knees with gratitude.

This chapter was full of dark and adventure. It reminded me of all the good aspects of Harry Potter (excepting the slashdom). Very excited to see what tricks await!

All this discourse seems to have inspired our author - he's posted yet another chapter. Two within the same calendar year!
The beginning made me think maybe he was picking up the hints we left in the last chapter's comment (above), but it improved rapidly.
And hear we have another bully-girl. He really likes em rough, ne? Makes me wonder what his wife is like.
